How important is the arts in Wales? How important is the arts and entertainment sector for any country? The answer is critically important. How do we know how important it is? Those of who live the arts just know it is important. Cultural meaning on what a country values however is often attributed to what we read, see, and evaluate as important. Artist and artist advocates aside, evaluation of the contribution of an arts and entertainment sector is often constructed by two schools of writers — the policy writer and the arts journalist.
